About
About Wilmer
Wilmer Valladares has been working in masonry since he was old enough to carry stone. He learned the trade from the ground up — developing hands-on expertise in structural and decorative masonry across residential and commercial projects before launching Legacy Mason Contractors at 22.
Based in Norwalk, Connecticut, Wilmer has spent his career working in Fairfield County's demanding residential market — building patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, chimneys, and full outdoor living spaces for homeowners across Norwalk, Westport, Stamford, Fairfield, Darien, Trumbull, Wilton, and Ridgefield.
His approach to masonry is straightforward — assess honestly, specify the right materials, build it properly, and stand behind the work. Every Legacy Mason project is covered by a 2–5 year workmanship warranty and managed by Wilmer personally as foreman from first stone to final walkthrough.
Wilmer writes about masonry craft, material selection, Connecticut climate considerations, and what Fairfield County homeowners need to know to make informed decisions about their properties. His articles are drawn from direct field experience — not reference material.
